Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised in the Queens area. She moved into Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her junior year. There are two of her siblings: one of whom is older, named Gregory and a younger one known as Evan. It was her first position in the field. She did it from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson trained her in the techniques used by Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors who have received similar training. Her first acting role came from Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out to Los Angeles. The role was as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts herself, and established herself as a skilled actress. In addition to Matt LeBlanc's agency for talent, her agent was in charge of a variety of roles that recurred in the show Friends.
