Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd gained confidence after the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated in the 1st round. Then, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian, before heading to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were affected. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. The InvictaFC11 fight was her first professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to go up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill, and she managed to finish her in the third round by TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, but Aspen won and beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round later in the second. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd was victorious in round one and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. She fought her first big fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. in the 3rd round on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
